i get error message <Unknown Error> and Error number: 80131513

I loaded the revised version (SQL 2008R2 version) and within a short time recieved and unhandled exception. I have SQL 2008R2 with SP2 on Windows 7 Pro (32 Bit).

I was connected to a remote database on Windows 2008R2 with SQL 2008R2 SP2 EE.

I got the same error message since upgraded my client tools. I downloaded a copy of the source and now working on the updated version. It would be great if the project owner may release a new version for 2012 and 2008 R2 :)

There seem to a number of references to this error with other add-ins following an upgrade to SQL Server 2008 R2 (e.g. http://www.red-gate.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?t=9427), requiring the add-in to be updated. Is this likely to be the case for InternalsViewer?

After installing Internals Viewer, I get the following error when starting SSMS:

"The Add-in 'InternalsViewer.SSMSAddIn.Connect' failed to load or caused an exception.
Would you like to remove this Add-in?
If you choose yet, you will need to reinstall the Add-in to use it again.

Error Message: Class not registered

Error number: 80040154"

Please note that LoadBehavior is already set to 1. Any help appreciated. Tx.

It's not compatible. They changed a few things. I followed some instructions here, and others I found on the net and spent about a day downloading things and SDKs and stuff to compile a version that is compatible with SSMS 2008R2.

You could also probably do this too if you were desperate (like I was) but if you want to just use mine, I've uploaded it here: http://dlftw.com/4p96k3t

When I run the stand-alone internals viewer on Windows8 I cannot connect to a SQL instance.
I get the message "Sql Internals Viewer has stopped working"

(it runs fine on Windows7)

I tried installing and running with SSMS 2008R2 and it did not work. Sounds fascinating, though.

I have the installer.. Installed it on my laptop. But I cant seem to get its directory for its executable.
I have to give that path in the External Tools Manager
